This single LP version of Piñata, the acclaimed rap album from 2014 that debuted at Number 39 on Billboard’s Top 200, is presented in a unique cover for RSD 2020. The cover is a collaboration between Jeff Jank and Pathetic Pixels with inspiration found in the unique graphics and content of 1970s Blaxploitation films. Piñata is “a gangster Blaxploitation film on wax,” says Gibbs, who came up on the streets of Gary, Indiana, the disregarded city previously best known for producing Michael Jackson. Here he is joined by Mac Miller, Earl Sweatshirt, Raekwon, Scarface, Domo Genesis, Ab-Soul and a host of others in setting his soliloquies of the streets alongside film snippets and dusted funk, soul and prog musical tapestries. THE LARGE PROFESSOR “THE LP” is Legendary Hip Hop Producer and Emcee Large Professor’s highly anticipated 1st solo debut album that was originally slated to come out on Geffen Records in 1995/1996. Due to label politics at the time, the album unfortunately was never released. 14 Years later in 2009 the official version of “THE LP” became available on CD & Double Vinyl LP. Due to high demand and in honor of the 10 Year Anniversary of this album being manufactured, Paul Sea Productions is now offering a very special limited edition metallic silver colored reissue with a variant colored record jacket. “THE LP” includes bonus unreleased songs and a few rare unearthed alternate demo versions of classic tracks such as the “Mad Scientist”. Curren$y, the New Orleans rapper - who has amassed a cult following, and who bounced around labels such as No Limit, Cash Money, Dd172 in his early days to finally running his own imprint, Jet Life Recordings - has paved his own path, his own way. As the first release on Damon Dash’s new imprint, Dd172, Pilot Talk paired him with producer Ski Beatz (best known as a producer on JAY Z’s seminal project, Unreasonable Doubt). While an unlikely pairing, the two artists’ styles complimented each other in an indescribable way which has lead to Curren$y’s long, and independently successful career.

Originally released in 1995, Brothas Doobie is the second album by the Los Angeles-based Latino rap group Funkdoobiest. The album contains all the original members Son Doobie (Jason Vasquez), DJ Ralph M (Ralph Medrano) and Tomahawk Funk (Tyrone Pacheco). The latter left group after this release. The album contains the famous and controversial track “Superhoes”, which also appeared in the soundtrack to the film Friday, starring NWA’s Ice Cube. Executive producer of the album is Muggs (Cypress Hill). DJ Lethal (House Of pain, Limp Bizkit) produced the track “It Ain’t Going Down”. Available as a limited 25th anniversary edition of 1500 numbered copies on blue vinyl.
