Step in the Arena is the second studio album by hip hop duo Gang Starr, printed as a 1990 release and commercially released on January 15, 1991. The album received critical acclaim and was also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. The Source magazine stated: “Step in the Arena stands alone on a musical level, yet it also remains true to hip-hop’s underground heritage.” In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source’s 100 Best Hip Hop Albums.

The American rap artist Nate Dogg earned the nickname of “King Of Hooks” after providing guest vocals for a multitude of hit rap songs between 1992 and 2007. He began his career as a member of 213, but recorded three successful solo albums in total, including the 2001 album Music & Me. The album was led by the single “I Got Love”, which remains one of his biggest hits to this day, alongside the title track. The album featured guest appearances by Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Kurupt, Fabolous, Ludacris, Pharoahe Monch and Snoop Dogg amongst others. It peaked at #3 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart. Music & Me is available as a limited edition on silver coloured vinyl. This 2LP includes an insert with lyrics.

In Spectropia ho cercato di mettere insieme tutte le mie passioni artistiche incluse l'arte del sampling e il turntablism, di trovare un suono definito ma non limitato a un unico stile musicale', dichiara DJ Aladyn.
A distanza di cinque anni dalla colonna sonora di Scary Allan Crow, basata sulla graphic novel scritta insieme a Lorenzo Palloni (Edizioni Inkiostro, 2017), DJ Aladyn, tra i dj storici di Radio Deejay, ritorna con Spectropia, un album avventuroso e anticipato dal singolo When I Look Into Your Eyes, prodotto insieme a Max Bellarosa con il featuring di Bunna degli Africa Unite e Saturnino. "Il dub crepuscolare di questa traccia è nato a casa di Saturnino, in piena pandemia. Pensando poi a un'interpretazione vocale non avrei potuto fare a meno di pensare a Bunna", continua.
Nonostante siano diverse le anime dell'album legate all'elettronica, dai synth modulari di Goa all'abstract di Paradiso Perduto, dal vapor-soul di Peace fino al downbeat di ADNIL ('creata da un sample di un vecchio 45 giri dei miei, è dedicata a mia figlia Linda'), in Spectropia c'è anche spazio per l'hip hop (Scratch conta su DJ Gruff), la dancehall (Beautiful Minds con Awa Fall), la melodic techno (in Ogni Passo suona il pianista neo-classical Roberto Pace) e la ricerca di nuovi talenti, come MEUSin Daughter of Rage.
DJ radiofonico e turntablist di lungo corso, DJ Aladyn si è fatto le ossa con i Men In Scratch, il collettivo di turntablist vincitore di varie edizioni del DMC anche fuori dai confini nazionali. L'album di debutto è Fili Invisibili (Metatron/INRI, 2012), prodotto insieme a tanti ospiti inclusi Rancore, Dargen D'Amico, Calibro 35 e Remo Anzovino. In seguito pubblica diversi EP, remixa Il Boom di Jovanotti con Tormento ed è protagonista di progetti speciali, dentro e fuori la radio.
